Propose a build for the SUNSET archive — a project brief, not a recruitment funnel.
Who can participate
Students interested in collaborative engineering work—software, hardware, creative coding, or experimental systems—can propose a project.
Project types
Projects should have a clear technical question, expected output, and a path to documented prototypes. Course exercises may be grouped as learning archive material rather than flagship case studies.
Proposal process
Prepare a short proposal describing the problem, expected output, technologies, hardware needs, contributor needs, safety or privacy concerns, demonstration plan, repository owner, and documentation owner. Discuss the proposal with current SUNSET contributors through your existing collaboration channels.
Documentation expectations
Public projects need honest status labels, architecture notes, limitations, and repository links. Incomplete work remains visible when it helps future contributors.
